(UPI) -- Jodi Arias' lawyers will meet with Maricopa County prosecutors in court on Thursday to discuss a settlement for the penalty phase of her trial, in which the convicted killer's defense team will offer alternative sentences to the death penalty. Though the conference is closed to the media -- seemingly unusual for a case that has so captivated the public -- Arias has been reaching out to supporters via Twitter and her website.

"Donations are now being accepted for my appeals at http://www.Justice4Jodi.com," Arias tweeted Wednesday.
She also sells prison artwork on her website -- her original painting of a sailboat goes for $1,500, while print editions cost $39.
The 33-year-old announced last month that she's attempt to file for bankruptcy
"That rumor that somehow my family profited from my trial? Absurd. I'm filing for bankruptcy (if I can ever afford to do so)," she tweeted earlier this month.
