(UPI) -- Connecticut police arrested two sisters, ages 15 and 16, on charges of allowing minors to possess alcohol, after their parents returned home from a trip to find a party going on in their house.

According to the Hartford Courant, the girls, Glastonbury High School students, invited about 15 to 20 people to their house every night while their parents were away earlier this month. But their party plans were foiled when their parents returned home early from a trip.

As punishment, the unidentified parents called the police.

Glastonbury Police Agent James Kennedy called the parents decision "the right thing to do."
