(UPI) -- Fran Drescher, best known for her role as the cackling, nasal-voiced star of "The Nanny," is dating the man often credited with inventing email. The 56-year-old actress, now starring in TV Land's "Happily Divorced," stepped out with Shiva Ayyadurai in Beverly Hills Tuesday.

"They [were] all smiles and [seemed] very into each other and very much in love," an US Weekly source said of Drescher and Ayyadurai's public displays of affection at the "Bridgegroom" premiere.
Ayyadurai, now 49, developed a mail system he called "EMAIL" as a high school student in 1978. Though he copyrighted the system in 1982, his role as the actual inventor of modern-day email has been disputed.
"Falling in LOVE. Cant believe it how it happens out of the blu," Drescher tweeted Oct. 7.
She also tweeted a photo of herself with Ayyadurai earlier this month:
