(UPI) -- The Packers have placed wide receiver on Randall Cobb on the injured reserve/designated to return list, meaning that he will now miss a minimum of eight weeks and be eligible to return to action against the Dallas Cowboys on Dec. 15.

It is believed that Cobb’s injury is a broken fibula. Cobb suffered the injury when he took a hit from Baltimore safety Matt Elam during the Packers' 19-17 victory Sunday.

In a corresponding move, the Packers signed tight end Jake Stoneburner from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

With Cobb out for two months and fellow wide receiver James Jones (knee) questionable for this week, tight end Jermichael Finley will likely see a lot of work out of the slot position.

Cobb was on pace for 1,612 yards from scrimmage and eight touchdowns coming into Week 6.

The Packers were interested in signing Denver Broncos practice squad wide receiver Tavarres King, but the Broncos signed him to their 53-man roster.

"It all happened so fast, it was crazy there for a while," King told the Denver Post. "I didn't know if I was going to be staying here or moving up to Green Bay. But I love it here. This is where I was drafted. I want this place to be my home. Fortunately for me, I guess I got a little love back."
