Jon Snow might be about to go elastic.
"Game of Thrones" star Kit Harington is reportedly in the running to lead a quartet of superheroes in a "Fantastic Four" reboot, which would start filming early next year.
Sources say Harington, along with fellow Brit Jack O'Connell ("Skins") and American Miles Teller ("The Spectacular Now") are also likely to get offers to read for the role of Reed Richards, a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic, the stretchy genius who can transform his body into any shape he desires.
Irish actress Saoirse Ronan ("The Lovely Bones," "The Host") and Kate Mara ("House of Cards") are among those mentioned to play the Invisible Girl, Susan Storm.
Michael B. Jordan, who recently earned rave reviews for his portrayal of police shooting victim Oscar Grant in "Fruitvale Station," is so far the only actor up for the role of the Human Torch, Johnny Storm. No actors have been mentioned for the role of the fourth member of the team, Ben Grimm, a.k.a. the Thing.
Josh Trank ("Chronicle") is on board to direct a script by Simon Kinberg ("X-Men: Days of Future Past"), Seth Grahme-Smith and T.S. Knowlin.
"The Fantastic Four" was first brought to theaters in 2005 to mixed reviews, and a sequel, "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer," followed in 2007.
