With the new track "Let Me Go," they have committed to each other in the recording studio. The couple's ballad will be released on Lavigne's self-titled album on November 5.
The punk-pop artist released the audio on her Vevo channel on Monday.
Lavigne said that time with Kroeger in the recording studio furthered their relationship.
"So working with Chad was awesome because I found a husband and that was the best thing that came out of the experience," she said.
"No, we had a great time. We really just celebrated music together and we both love writing and creating; it's non-stop. Even though the record's done now and we recorded it, like, we're always around the house coming up with new ideas and concepts. It's really inspiring."
They also co-wrote the album's lead single, "Here's To Never Growing Up."
