Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Actor Willem Dafoe, the voice of Gill in Pixar's "Finding Nemo" said the movie's sequel, "Finding Dory" is "even better than the first."

Dafoe told Total Film he's started work reprising the vocals for his character and is excited about the film, which is scheduled to premiere June 17, 2016.

“Yeah I’ve already started,” he said. “It’s even better than the first. It’s fantastic. It’s good to say I think it’s going to be better than the first; that’s good advertising!”

"Finding Dory" focusing on Ellen Degeneres' titular character trying to reunite with her family.

“It’s difficult to repeat a success and so many years afterwards, but it’s really cool,” Dafoe said. “I’ve done one session so far and I just am going to have such a good time.”
