Gina Gershon's might bear an uncanny resemblance to Donatella Versace in Lifetime's upcoming biopic, "House of Versace," but the 58-year-old is nonetheless displeased with the film's subject matter.

"Versace has neither authorized nor had any involvement whatsoever in the forthcoming TV movie about Mrs. Versace," the Italian fashion house told Women's Wear Daily Thursday.

“Since Versace did not authorize the book on which it is based, the movie should only be seen as a work of fiction,” the firm said in reference to Deborah Ball's 2010 book, “House of Versace: The Untold Story of Genius, Murder and Survival.”

The Versace family reportedly "took issue" with the published book, though The Cut notes that Ball "was granted extensive interviews" with the designer and her friends.

"House of Versace" debuts 8 p.m. Saturday on Lifetime.
