The family of murdered British exchange student Meredith Kercher hopes Amanda Knox stays away from her former roommate's grave.
During an interview with The Guardian, Kercher's elder sister Stephanie Kercher opened up about how painful it was to let go of her sibling.
Stephanie Kercher's comments came a couple of days before the second trial in her sister's 2007 murder began in Florence, Italy on Monday.
Neither Knox or her then-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito -- both of whom were convicted of Meredith Kercher's murder in 2009, but released on appeal in 2011 -- will be at the court for the trial.
"I believe that any questions as to my innocence must be examined by an objective investigation and a capable prosecution," Knox said in a statement when her appeal was overturned in March. "The prosecution responsible for the many discrepancies in their work must be made to answer for them, for Raffaele's sake, my sake, and most especially for the sake of Meredith's family."
Regarding the trial, Stephanie Kercher said she knows her sister would've wanted them fight "until the end."
