Jake Locker's injury lands him at hospital after Titans beat Jets

Jake Locker suffered a right hip injury during the Tennessee Titans 38-13 win over the New York Jets on Sunday.

The Tennessee Titans lost their starting quarterback to a hip injury while playing the New York Jets on Sunday.

Jake Locker was carted out of the field after suffering a right hip injury during Sundays game.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport said the quarterback was taken to a hospital for further tests on the hip. He added that Locker would spend the night in the hospital for observation.

Rapoport went on to say the Titans do not think Locker has a dislocated hip. However, they are uncertain as to how much damage was done to the area. The team expects to know more about Locker's condition on Monday.

Titans coach Mike Munchak explained that Locker did not go to the hospital for emergency surgery.

Locker was injured during the third quarter of the game, with the Titans leading 24-6. After he was knocked to the ground on a hit by Jets defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson, he was carted of the off the field and Ryan Fitzpatrick took over at quarterback.

The Titans went on to beat the Jets 38-13.
