On Sunday, the Tennessee Titans had their best game this season with a 38-13 win over the Jets.

The celebration was overshadowed by an injury sustained by quarterback Jake Locker, who was taken off the field on a cart.

He was later transported to Saint Thomas Medial Center in an ambulance. Locker suffered a right hip injury in the third quarter, leaving his status for the rest of the season uncertain.

The team reportedly said its starting quarterback could miss between four and eight weeks as he recovers, though the team believes there is no hip dislocation.

"It is definitely bittersweet," wide receiver Damian Williams said.

"Obviously, you have to enjoy the win. It is the first time we've performed like this together, offensively and defensively. But when your general goes down, when your captain goes down, it is definitely tough for the team. We're all praying and hoping for the best."

Locker was hurt when he was hit by Jets defensive linemen Muhammad Wilkerson and Quinton Coples while throwing a pass. He immediately grabbed his right hip as medics rushed onto the field, then carried him to the locker room.

"I could tell he was in pain. He was wincing," said fullback Collin Mooney, who was the first player to reach Locker. "The first thing he asked was, 'Did he catch the ball?' That's Jake for you."

The results of an MRI on Locker's hip weren't immediately known. Initial tests at the stadium did not indicate the hip had popped out of joint, coach Mike Munchak said.

Locker spent the night in the hospital for further monitoring.
