Demi Lovato announces 2014 Neon Lights tour

Demi Lovato will promote her latest album, "Demi," with a 2014 tour, the 21-year-old singer announced Monday.

"I think it's going to be so much fun," Lovato told Ryan Seacrest Monday.

Lovato's tour will be supported by a string of "X Factor" girl groups, including Little Mix and Fifth Harmony.

"There's nothing better than woman empowerment and having an all-girl tour," Lovato said of her openers. "What's ironic is we are all from 'The X Factor,' and that wasn't even planned -- it just kind of happened that way. I helped put Fifth Harmony together and watching them now, they're going to be opening for me, it's so awesome."

The singer also explained the tour's chosen moniker, Neon Lights.

"It also fits. It's like a party tour," she said. "When I see that, I think big party."

Neon Lights tickets go on sale October 5, with the tour kicking off February 9 in Vancouver.
