Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Karen Nyberg, astronaut aboard the International Space Station and possibly the solar system's coolest mom, made a toy dinosaur for her son in zero gravity.

According to Nyberg's Pinterest page, the stuffed dinosaur was "Made in space!!" using bits and scraps found around the ISS.

The dinosaur's skin is made from a "velcro-like fabric that lines the Russian food containers found here," and it was "lightly stuffed with scraps from a used t-shirt."

The NASA flight engineer and Expedition 37 crew member is a self-described crafter, and she loves sewing and quilting so much, she actually packed thread, sewing needles, and fabric samples for her stay in orbit.
