Justin DiPietro was in court on an unrelated charge of assaulting an ex-girlfriend. Though he was given four days in jail for violating the conditions of his release, prosecutors dropped the assault charge.
Reynolds went to the courthouse to call attention to Ayla's case, running after DiPietro when he left the building.
“I can see it in your eyes. I know you care," she shouted, according to the Bangor Daily News.
“Tell me what you did to her," she added.
“Tell us what you did with her,” DiPietro's mother, Phoebe, hit back.
Reynolds and her family also clashed with Phoebe inside the courthouse. Phoebe reportedly shouted an obscenity at Reynold's father, Ron, in the courtroom, and outburst that prompted him to follow her into the hallway.
“Did you say something to me? Your son killed my granddaughter," Ron asked her.
Bailiffs intercepted multiple confrontations between the two families.
Reynolds also called for DiPietro's arrest on CNN Wednesday, citing police photographs of blood in Ayla's bedroom and in the basement of the house where her father slept. Reynold's said that three adults who were in the house the night Ayla disappeared -- DiPietro, his girlfriend and his sister -- should be arrested.
“I don’t understand why Justin, Elisha and Courtney have not been charged yet,” Trisha said when she left the courthouse. “I don’t understand why they haven’t been charged with lying to the police.”
DiPietro and his family have maintained that Ayla was kidnapped by strangers.
