Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Phil Hartman, one of the most beloved comedians in recent history, died 15 years ago when his wife Brynn shot and killed him during a dispute.

Today would have been Hartman's 65th birthday. The "Saturday Night Live" star had a spot-on imitation of Bill Clinton, and played a grouch on NewsRadio. He also voiced characters on "The Simpsons."

Today, on his birthday, fans and friends have remembered his hilarious life.

The videos below capture part of his comedic legacy.
