Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Irish singer and philanthropist Bono slipped into President Bill Clinton's empty chair when the 42nd president showed up late to a panel at his annual Clinton Global Initiative Meeting Tuesday.

"When I first met Bono, he walked into the Oval Office and I actually thought he was a member of his own road crew. He wasn't dressed right. Actually, I felt like the rock star on that occasion," Bono said in the Arkansas native's iconic southern drawl.

"I must be really easy to make fun of," Clinton quipped when he finally appeared.

Bono's not the only celebrity who can impersonate the 42nd president. Matt Damon imitated Clinton during an appearance on the "Tonight" show last year.
