Mikhail Zaltsman, who owns the Moscow Black Storm, told R-Sport that the 26-year-old QB had turned down a $1 million offer to play two games for his team.
“Unfortunately agents of Tim Tebow turn down our proposal,” Zaltsman in an email to the Russian sports news service. “I hope that its Tebow's agents’ fault that the contract wasn't signed and Tim couldn't do anything about it.”
Zaltsman has previously said that Tebow showed serious interest in his offer, and seemed hurt that he was turned down.
If it was his decision -- it's very upsetting. And in this case we don't want him in our team anyway," Zaltsman added. “We are looking for the people who pursue their dreams, not the ones who talk about it.”
For now, Tebow will continue to consider his options in the U.S., though they don't look great. A rally calling for Tebow to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars last week attracted only 20 to 40 people, according to The Washington Post.
