The death of 30-year-old Ron Homer, a Braves fan that fell from the upper level of Turner Field on August 12, has been ruled a suicide.

Homer fell 85 feet from the 400 level of the stadium during a rain delay, just after getting off the phone with his mother.

His family speculated that he had gone to the concourse for a cigarette before falling over the 42-inch-high railing. No one was standing near Homer at the time he fell.

Authorities initially called Homer's death an accident, but on Thursday, the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office declared it a suicide.

No details were provided as to how they determined it was a suicide. Toxicology reports showed that Homer had alcohol in his system at the time of his death.
