One man wore a balaclava while the other had a scarf wrapped around his face. They approached Blair, a 25-year-old barrister, and her group near her townhouse in the Marylebone neighborhood.
Police called the event an attempted robbery, because no one was physically hurt and nothing was stolen. They linked the incident to another attempted robbery that had happened nearby 30 minutes earlier.
"Kathryn was with a group of friends," a rep for the Blair family said. "No-one was hurt and nothing was stolen."
But the incident prompted questions about the security of a woman whose father is such a prominent -- and occasionally controversial -- political figure.
“It seems staggering that the daughter of man who evokes such extreme emotions in some should be wandering around in the dark at night without protection," a security expert told the Express. “Thankfully she came to no harm but the potential terrorism threat is obvious.’’
