With the help of Emmy telecast executive producer Ken Ehrlich and Television Academy chairman and CEO Bruce Rosenblum, Harris literally rolled out the red carpet in front of the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles Wednesday.
The "How I Met Your Mother" star is returning to the gig for the second time, although he has shown off his hosting skills on a number of occasions, including four turns as the Tony Awards emcee.
Harris promised "probably the biggest dance number ever," which will be part of the presentation of the Emmy for Outstanding Choreography.
The telecast begins at 8 p.m. Eastern on Sunday on CBS.
