Actress Jennifer Garner has made no secret of how much she despises the paparazzi that can be found in swarms wherever celebrities are in Los Angeles or New York.

So when a pesky photographer trained his camcorder on her at a farmer's market in Pacific Palisades, Calif., Sunday, she turned the tables on him, putting her cell phone camera right up to his face.

Garner reportedly took a photo of him with her phone.

Last month, the "Alias" actress testified before the California legislature, along with Helle Berry, to push for legislation that would prevent paparazzi from harassing the children of celebrities.

"I chose a public life, but my three children are private citizens," she said. "I love my kids. They're beautiful and sweet and innocent, and I don't want a gang of shouting, arguing, lawbreaking photographers who camp out everywhere we are all day, every day, to continue traumatizing my kids."

Garner has three children with actor/director Ben Affleck.
