Lily Collins dubbed most 'dangerous' celebrity to search online, McAfee reports

Lily Collins might seem like the perfectly harmless star of this summer's "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones," but she's actually a dangerous actress to pop into a search engine.

The 24-year-old daughter of renowned musician Phil Collins topped McAfee's annual list of "Dangerous Celebrities," pop culture figures who attract spam, viruses or other malware on web pages.

McAfee said Tuesday that people searching for Lily Collins have a 14.5 percent chance of clicking on a page that could harm your computer.

Collins is followed by Avril Lavigne (12.7 percent), Sandra Bullock (10.8 percent), and Kathy Griffin (10.6 percent). The only male celebrity to make it to the "dangerous" top 10 is "Mad Men" hunk Jon Hamm.

"Cyber criminals prey on consumers' addiction to breaking news and leverage this behavior to lead them to unsafe sites that can severely infect their computers and devices and steal personal information," McAfee's director of web security research, Paula Greve, said in a statement.
