Sweden's king celebrates 40 years on throne with dance party

Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf may be pushing 70 years old, but that won't stop him from throwing a dance party on the streets of Stockholm to celebrate his 40th anniversary of his reign.

Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf may be pushing 70 years old, but that won't stop him from throwing a dance party on the streets of Stockholm to celebrate his 40th anniversary of his reign.

The Royal palace invited heads of state from Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland for a church service, dinner and jubilee concert Saturday night.

But Sunday, along with the mayor of Stockholm, the king threw a party for the public.

The 67-year-old, who says he job is "more exciting than ever" danced with Queen Silvia to salsa, waltz, lindy hop and fox trot tunes in the courtyard of the palace.
