Baltimore Ravens quarterback managed to keep his cool and lead his team to a victory over the Cleveland Browns Sunday afternoon, even though he knew his wife was in labor.

Flacco showed up to to play knowing his wife, Dana, was already in labor in New Jersey. She called him after warmups to deliver the good news of the birth of their son, Daniel.

On that good news, Flacco completed 10 of 12 passes for 102 yards and a touchdown, and the Ravens beat the Browns 14-6.

"Anytime you have a child, it's one of your best days," Flacco said. "The game didn't go exactly how we wanted it to, but that's how we've won football games around here. We're able to win like this, and some things you have to do it in an ugly way."

His calm and collected demeanor on the field was an inspiration to his teammates, especially as they struggled to put points on the board.

"I wasn't frustrated because I looked at Joe, and Joe wasn't frustrated," said wide receiver Marlon Brown, describing a moment after he dropped a touchdown pass early. "And he's our leader. So if our leader isn't frustrated, and he's calm and cool, I'm going to be like, 'We're going to be alright because Joe's going to be alright.'"

Flacco admitted his attention was -- at least a little -- divided during the game.

"Of course, not on the field but on the sideline," he said. "I can't wait to go back and see him."

After the game, Flacco hopped in the car and drove to New Jersey to meet his son.
