One upon a time, Abigail Breslin was a chunky preteen who won us all over in her Oscar-nominated performance in "Little Miss Sunshine."
Now at 17, Breslin is looking all grown up -- so much so, she often doesn't get recognized.
Even her castmates in the upcoming star-studded "August: Osage County" didn't know who she was after she dyed her hair blonder.
"The cast doesn't recognize me," Breslin said. "I was like, 'Hey guys!' and they were like, 'Who's this random girl crashing our photo shoot today?'"
Fans, too, seem unsure of who she is now that she's rocking the lighter locks.
"This girl was like, 'Oh my gosh, that's Abigail Breslin,' and her friend was like, 'No it's not, it looks nothing like her!'" Breslin says, of a run in at a supermarket.
"August: Osage County," which is based on the Tony Award-winning play by Tracy Letts, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival Monday and hits theaters on December 25.
And as for those costars? No one will have trouble recognizing any of them: Meryl Streep leads an ensemble that includes Julia Roberts, Ewan McGregor, Chris Cooper, Benedict Cumberbatch, Juliette Lewis, Sam Shepard and Dermot Mulroney.
