Though the 48-year-old passed a sobriety test, officers brought him in on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant related to his failure to show up to court in February.
Authorities released the rap mogul after he posted $20,000 bail.
Knight, who has a long history of legal troubles involving probation violations and drug use, had been expected in court for two incidents of driving with a suspended license.
