The reaction to Miley Cyrus's controversial performance at the MTV Video Music Awards was varied and not very positive.
But Sadie Robertson, the granddaughter of "Duck Dynasty" patriarch Phil Robertson, and her father Willie, just feel bad for Cyrus.
“My family has been praying for her (Miley Cyrus') family," Sadie Robertson said. "We feel very bad for her because we know how entertainment can get wrapped up in your head."
"We try to stay strong as a family," she said. "We just pray that their family comes back together.”
“It's tough," added Willie Robertson. "You know, the whole world is different now, so everyone knows who you are."
Sadie also said that, while she is enjoying her time as one of America's most-watched families, she doesn't plan on following in Cyrus's footsteps.
"I would never twerk in public," she said. "It is not modest to me but for the girls out there that do, it’s their decision.”
Sadie is in New York for Fashion Week, where she walked the runway to celebrate her collaboration on a line of prom dresses with designer Sherri Hill.
Sadie, a sophomore, had some problems finding a dress that was dad approved for her homecoming event last year, so she was eager to agree when Hill reached out to ask her to be both celebrity spokesmodel and collaborator.
“Me and my mother and my grandma went to Sherri Hill’s place and we all picked out ‘daddy approved length," Sadie said of the "Sadie Robertson Live Original" collection. "She also added a couple inches to some that we loved but weren’t modest."
She has already been asked to prom by an upperclassman -- and she'll probably wear one of the designs.
"I am excited," she said. "[I'll wear] one of the dresses in the line. I don't know which one. It's so hard to choose!"
