Lamar Odom NBA career on hold to repair marriage

Lamar Odom seems to be making an attempt to get his life back on track after swirling rumors of cheating and drug use seemed to threaten his marriage to Khloe Kardashian.

Odom, 33, has reportedly resolved to make his marriage to Kardashian his top priority -- even over his career in the NBA.

"Really, basketball’s not even on Lamar’s mind," a source explained. "He’s got bigger issues now, bigger than playing basketball."

"How can he even think about that when his life is not right. Priorities comes and instead of having the basketball in both his hands, he needs to have a tight grip on his life and these issues he’s been having. That’s where is head is and I think it’s a good thing."

Kardashian, 29, reunited with Odom on Monday after a few days apart, fueling conflicting reports that they were either splitting up and were just fine.

Either way, sources close to the family say things are tough for each of them.

“He broke down, literally broke town in tears when he was with her,” a source said. “He has more shame than anything."

"Khloe held him, and she cried too. It’s a sob fest," the source added. "He’s ashamed of himself and feels like he’s let a lot of people down.”

I don’t know that many women with the strength to go through all this and in public,” the source says. “She’s true to him and he knows that deep down."
