Taylor Swift's gift of homemade jam to her tourmate Ed Sheeran proves two things -- that the 23-year-old singer enjoys giving her friends thoughtful, culinary presents and that she's still not over the time Kanye West interrupted her acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

"Taylor made me some jam. Amazing," Sheeran captioned an Instagram photo on Monday. In the snapshot, he holds a jar of jam with a label reading: "Yo Ed — I'm really happy 4 you and I'm gonna let u finish but this is the best JAM OF ALL TIME. —T"

For the uninitiated, West let his affection for Beyonce get the best of him when he leapt on stage during Swift's 2009 acceptance speech for female video of the year. Swift had just beaten Beyonce for the award when West grabbed the mic out of her hands to proclaim, "Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you, and I'm gonna let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time."

True or not, it was still a harsh move. Even Barack Obama thought so.

The four-year-old incident must have left such an impression on the then-19-year-old Swift, because she is still talking about it years later.

When she was nominated for VMAs back in June, the "Red" singer tweeted, "Two VMA nominations!! If you vote and get us one, I promise to keep a firmer grip on the mic this time."
