Actor Alan Lee Beiler starred in and produced "Amish Mafia," a Discovery Channel show about people who protect the Amish community of Lancaster, Penn., before he led state troopers on a high-speed chase in Perry County last year.

On Thursday, a Perry County judge sentenced Beiler to three to 23 months in prison for the chase that led to the concussion of a police officer. The judge said Beiler was lucky not to have killed anyone.

Beiler pled guilty to drug possession, eluding police and driving with a suspended license in May, though authorities acknowledged his attempts to turn his life around. Since the chase, he has led kindergarten classes and participated in community fundraisers.
