Aug. 5 (UPI) -- While speaking at Comic Con in San Diego Friday Katey Sagal said her "Sons of Anarchy" character, Gemma, was fun to play given her increasingly conflictive story lines.

"As an actor, it makes it interesting," she said. "That's part of the journey of being an actor, that you're exploring the human condition in whatever form thats going on. There are a few things in the season that I'm like, 'Really?! Okay.'"

Asked if she thought the end of the show was near, the 59-year-old actress explained she did't know because she is so close to the "SOA" creator, Kurt Sutter, who just so happens to be her husband of nine years.

"I kind of know the pieces he's thinking of so I don't know if you're going to watch it and go, 'Oh yeah, we're almost at the end."

The sixth season of "Sons of Anarchy" will return to FX on September 10 at 9:00 EST in a especial 90-minute episode.
