Jennifer Aniston questions Katie Couric's journalist cred

Jennifer Aniston was on friendly territory Wednesday when she put in an appearance on "Chelsea Lately," the late-night home of her close friend and bridesmaid Chelsea Handler.

Handler gave the 44-year-old "We're the Millers" star the chance to clear up several rumors plaguing the actress and her fiance Justin Theroux, including a Star magazine report that he has taken up nudism.

"What are you reading? Star magazine? Oh, OK. Yes, they're reliable," Aniston said sarcastically. "We don't walk around nude, darling. I mean, we do when it's appropriate."

The two friends went on to gossip about Katie Couric, the perpetually perky host of daytime's "Katie."

"Katie Couric was asking me on her show about your wedding and I had to act like I didn't even know you were engaged because I didn't know that was out," Handler said. "Then she was like, 'Well, everyone knows about it!' So, I felt really stupid."

"What's Katie Couric?" Aniston replied. "Is she a legitimate journalist? Is she getting tabloidy? Wasn't she on the 'Today' show?"

"She was on the 'Today' show. She got a demotion to her own show," Handler fired back.
