Hoda Kotb has spent the last six years getting daytime drunk with Kathie Lee Gifford for the "Today" show's well-rated fourth hour -- the lovably boozed-up stepchild of NBC talk shows. But is the 48-year-old news anchor finally tired of giggling her way through the daylight hours?

The New York Post said Monday that ABC is considering Kobt for a position at "The View," currently undergoing a reshuffle of its own. The network reportedly thinks Kobt would add diversity to the panel as Joy Behar's replacement.

And believe it or not, she'd bring a little journalistic know-how to "The View."

"She has news experience, which is something ‘The View’ has not had since Meredith Vieira left," a source said.

But in the wake of the Ann Curry scandal, NBC is eager to hang on to its successful personalities and won't lose Kotb without a fight.

So are the rumors true?

A Kotb source didn't exactly refute the report: "Hoda loves her job at ‘Today’ and she’s very happy laughing and scratching with Kathie Lee every day," they said.

ABC, meanwhile, is standing firm.

"There's absolutely zero truth to this whatsoever," a network rep said.
