Days after Syfy confirmed that it plans to air 'Sharknado 2' in 2014, TMZ is reporting that one of the movie's starring characters won't be coming back.

According to the gossip site, sources have confirmed that Tara Reid's character, April Wexler, wont be appearing in the sequel to the famous cult film.

The source added that the production team decided to only bring back Ian Ziering's character, Fin Shepard, for the sequel.

Both Reid and Ziering reportedly earned $50,000 for their performance in the Syfy thriller.

After "Sharknado's" TV debut on July 11, 2013, Reid said she would be willing to participate in a sequel for the movie.

“I just thought sharks flying in he sky is just the funniest movie ever," the "American Pie" star said. “This movie was so ridiculous, you know? Like it's almost so bad that it's good."
