Former WWE star Jake "The Snake" Roberts is coming back to the silver screen after being sober for almost one year.

The 58-year-old, who is currently working on a new film titled "Heavy Water," shared a photo of his road to recovery on Twitter. "The big board. 27 of 90. And 254 days coke free. 33 w out a drink! Moving forward," the wrestler turned actor captioned an image of a whiteboard where he's been keeping track of days he's been drug and alcohol free.

Roberts's film is currently in the funding stages as it is looking for backers through a Kickstarter campaign.

In the film, the wrestler would play the lead character's father, Jed.

"Jake's experience as a professional wrestler translated into strong performances and brought a powerful presence to his character. His ability to improvise, take direction, and become the character shines through in his depiction of Jed," reads a post on the Kickstarter's site.

So far, the campaign has received $4,000 of the $25,000 it needs to get by August 21.

Roberts, the son of wrestler Grizzly Smith, rose to fame as a wrestler in the late 80s and early 90s for bringing a snake into the wrestling ring with him. Most notably, a python named Damien.
