A family that was trapped in an overturned SUV was rescued by George Zimmerman. The story became popular quickly, but the family canceled a scheduled news conference Wednesday to talk about the rescue.

Zimmerman and another man saw a blue Ford Explorer overturned in the middle of the road, where they found Dana and Mark Gerstle with their two children trapped inside in Sanford, Fla., on Thursday.

The Gerstle family was slated to hold a press conference today at the office of Mark O'Mara, Zimmerman's attorney. They cancelled a few hours before it was supposed to take place.

Instead, the family asked for privacy, saying that they are not comfortable taking interviews at this time. O'Mara said the family first approached him to speak, but became concerned about the anger surrounding Zimmerman's not guilty verdict.
