Getty Andrew Rothenberg, Tinsley's personal assistant, financial manager and friend of 20 years, confessed to using credit lines in the musician's name and stealing cash from his bank accounts between 2009 and 2012.
Rothenberg reportedly inflated monthly expenditure report totals that he emailed to Tinsley, swiping the extra cash for himself.
Despite the fact that prosecutors believe Rothenberg actually stole between $1 million and $7 million from Tinsley -- all while making between $50,000 and $60,000 per year -- the Virginia-based violinist has requested that he not serve jail time for his actions.
Rothenberg is set to be sentenced September 17th, and could face up to 30 years in prison.
