By VERONICA LINARES, UPI.com

Kids II has issued a recall of about 400,000 Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumper over concerns that the sun-shaped toy might snap back with force and injure the infant sitting on the chair.

The decision to recall the jumper came after 61 injuries including cuts and bruises were reported.

One 7-month old reportedly suffered a skull fracture from the device while an adult claimed to have chipped his tooth with the defective part.

Kids II will be recalling the Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumpers with model number 90564 that were made before November 2011. The number and date can be found on a tag attached to the underside of the seat.

The company said that current inventory at retail stores is not subject to the recall.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has encouraged users to stop using the device and contact Kids II for a replacement.

Kids II can be reached toll-free at (877) 325-7056 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or online at kidsii.com.
