Tajh Boyd decided to take the high road following Jadeveon Clowney’s claim that Boyd was "scared" of playing against him.

“I’ll tell you man, honestly, there’s some things I would definitely like to say but I’m just not going to entertain it,” Boyd told USA TODAY Sports on Wednesday.

On Monday, Clowney, 20, said the Clemson quarterback was scared every time the University of South Carolina played the Tigers adding that he knew "he's listening to this right now but I'm telling the truth."

As for why he decided to hold back on responding, Boyd, 22, said he was just about to send a 140-character response via Twitter when he chose to hold back.

“I mean, we haven’t beaten those guys in a good bit now and there’s nothing else really to be said about it,” Boyd said. “We just have to go out there and beat those guys, and that’s really all there is to it.”

Following the Clemson Tiger's 11-2 season that finished with a victory over LSU in the Chick-fil-A Bowl, Boyd is one of the nations best quarterbacks and a potential Heisman Trophy candidate.
