Lindsey Vonn opened up about her relationship to Tiger Woods in an interview for the August issue of Vogue.

"We immediately clicked, you know?" she tells the magazine. "It was just one of those things."

The 28 year old Olympic skier told Vogue she met Woods, 37, at a charity event in 2012. She confessed that their relationship began as a long distance friendship that eventually developed into a romance.

"It's amazing," she says of the turn of events. "Life changes very quickly, in a very positive way, if you let it."

Vonn explained that the two athletes tried to keep their relationship hidden from the world, but that public interest was just too high after she injured herself in a fall in Austria and was flown back to the United States in Woods' private jet. A few months later, the couple decided to "come out" about their relationship in separate social media announcements.

"It all comes back to being happy. It doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks; do what you love to do and be happy and that's it," she told Vogue.

While on the subject of happiness, Vonn told Vogue last year hadn't been a very happy one for her, adding that she went through several bouts of occasional depression toward the end of her marriage to fellow skier Thomas Vonn. The couple divorced in 2012.

Asked if she thinks she'll ever get married again, Vonn seems quite sure that she won't.

"No, thanks!" she replies. "I am definitely not getting married. To anyone."

Regarding to her career, Vonn is uncertain about her future plans.

"You can compete till about 34. Or even longer. But most women retire because they want to have kids...I've said that as long as my body is holding up, and I'm happy, and I'm skiing well, I may keep going for another Olympics," she explains. "But now, I don't know..."
