Kanye West's nine-piece capsule line with French brand A.P.C. has sold out since its reveal yesterday.
One item from the line has gotten all the buzz, though. West's "Hip Hop T-Shirt," a $120 shirt in solid white or dark navy Egyptian cotton, is little more than a glorified undershirt.
Nice to see Kanye West took his time designing this $120 'Hip Hop T-Shirt' http://t.co/2KmE4clqj1— Stuart Rutherford (@doodlewhale) July 16, 2013
LMAO...dying over the fact Kanye is selling a plain white t-shirt for $120 called "Hip Hop T-Shirt" and y'all buying into it— ♦WHADAFUNK♦ (@WHADAFUNK) July 15, 2013
In "New Slaves," West compared obsessive consumption of name brands -- "spending everything on Alexander Wang" -- to an elaborate form of slavery.
"The nine-piece capsule collection crashed the site and sold out promptly, though A.P.C. is still taking pre-orders for the next shipment until Wednesday at 1 p.m." a representative for A.P.C. said.
