Toddler buys Austin-Healey Sprite car on eBay using dad's smartphone

Sorella Stoute, a 14-month-old toddler from Portland, Ore., accidentally logged into her father's eBay app last month and bought a 1962 Austin-Healey Sprite for $225, KOIN-TV reported Tuesday.

Sorella's dad, Paul, only noticed the purchase when he received an email confirmation from the popular auction site.

"Tap, tap, tap and now I own a car," Paul said of his daughter's apparent ease with technology.

"Fortunately, she didn't buy the $38,000 Porsche," he joked to KPTV.

He decided to keep and restore the vintage vehicle as a sort of memento for his inquisitive daughter -- maybe even a 16th birthday present.
