Sarah Palin, the former Republican vice presidential candidate, has been out of politics since stepping down from her Gubernatorial seat in 2009.
Palin is angling her return, however, after years of publicly criticizing President Barack Obama. The Republican said she is considering a U.S. Senate run in 2014 in her home state of Alaska. The seat is currently held by Mark Begich, a Democrat.
I’ve considered it, because people have requested me considering it,” Palin said in an interview with Sean Hannity. “But I’m still waiting to see what the line-up will be and hoping that ... there will be some new blood, new energy, not just kind of picking from the same old politicians in the state.”
Early poll results of prospective candidates for the seat show Palin in the top spot.
Should she run, she will be up against Republicans Mead Treadwell and Joe Miller.
