July 9 (UPI) -- Amanda Bynes is due in court Tuesday for a hearing regarding the her May arrest for allegedly throwing a bong out of her New York apartment window.

The former Nickelodeon star was arrested on May 23 on charges of reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence, and possession of marijuana after a neighbor called NYPD to report she was smoking marijuana in her building's lobby. After spending the night in jail, Bynes was released on her own recognizance -- she did not need to post bail.

Ever since the arrest, the 27-year-old actress has maintained that she was not smoking marijuana, that police entered her apartment illegally and that officers sexually harassed her

The hearing is scheduled to begin at 6:30 am PST 9:30 am EST.
