Avril Lavigne and her Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger became Mr. and Mrs. on Monday night.
Lavigne and Kroeger wed in a ceremony in the South of France at the Chateau La Napoule.
The Canadian couple shared a three-day getaway leading up to their nuptials. The reception following their wedding lasted long into the night and included a fireworks show.
"It was a wild, all-night party with drinking, dancing, incredible food and lots of laughter and tears of happiness," an attendee said. "It was a truly amazing wedding, absolutely magical."
Kroeger dated Lavigne six months before he proposed in August with a 14-carat diamond ring. They began dating a year before their wedding day -- July 1 -- which happens to be Canada Day.
"We met while recording music in March," Kroeger said. "But we started dating July 1, so I'll let the math speak for itself there. We think it's very cool that our anniversary will always be on Canada Day. We can't wait to start our life together. We're very happy."
The couple is reportedly releasing a new song together that they wrote specifically for the wedding.
