By CAROLINE LEE, UPI.com

The hosts of the show "The Pursuit of Happiness" were found dead after an apparent dual suicide in their Brooklyn apartment.

The hosts, a common-law couple, each left a suicide note. John Littig, 48, was a motivational speaker. His wife, 46-year-old Lynne Rosen, was a psychotherapist.

The two were found with plastic bags covering their heads, attached to a tube of helium. The FDNY describes the bags as "exit bags," which are said to provide a "fast, peaceful, undetectable death to those wishing to commit suicide."

The apartment's building manager discovered them after a strong odor wafted through the building. He broke down the door after no one answered and found Littig and Rosen dead on the sofa, holding hands. They had been dead for a week when they were found.

Littig's suicide note said, "I can't take it anymore. My wife is in too much pain." His wife's was an apology for committing suicide.

In the couple's radio show, "The Pursuit of Happiness," Littig and Rosen served as life coaches focused on the development of creativity and personal growth. They also ran a life-coaching company called Why Not Now.
