A black-and-gold acrylic fingernail flew off Lady Gaga's hand during performance in Dublin, Ireland last year, only to be caught by an event crew member who promptly put the item up for auction.

It just sold at auction for a cool $12,000, along with a photograph of the 27-year-old performer missing a fingernail, MTV reported Monday.

According to the ArtFact auction listing, the winning bidder will also receive a letter from the crew member explaining how he obtained the nail.

It reads: "I noticed an object on the floor of the stage, which at first I thought was a guitar plectrum. When I picked it up, I saw it was an acrylic nail."

ArtFact CEO Rob Weisberg said that the nail was sold to a UK bidder.

"This piece of Lady Gaga's personal style could appeal to both passionate collectors of pop culture relics or one of Gaga's Monsters," Weisberg said in a statement.
