Police dog pays respect to master in viral photo

June 3 (UPI) -- A photo of a police dog paying respect to Bardstown, Ky. police officer Jason Ellis at his funeral went viral on Monday.

Ellis, 33, was killed in a suspected ambush on Saturday, according to the Lexinton Herald-Leader. His canine partner, Figo, remained by his casket during the funeral, which was held at the High View Cemetery in Chaplin on Monday.
