Florida assistant calls Nick Saban 'the devil himself'

Nick Saban has multiple national championships and continues to get many of the best recruits in the country to come to the University of Alabama. His national championship-winning players continually get drafted in the NFL.

But with that comes his reputation for his no-nonsense drill-sergeant nature and the physical abilities of his teams that come with it.

And the trash talk. Vanderbilt head coach James Franklin has repeatedly referred to the coach as "Nicky Satan," according to ESPN. Franklin later apologized.

Now, Florida's offensive line coach Tim Davis, who coached under Saban with the Miami Dolphins, called Saban "the devil himself" at a meeting with the Space Coast Gator Club to compare working for each coach.

"[Florida coach Will Muschamp]'s got a plan,'' Davis told boosters. "Will coached under the devil himself for seven years. I only did three.''

So in this case, the trash talk is a kind of compliment, as Davis compared Muschamp to the top coach in college football. And Saban is too close in spelling to Satan to avoid it -- and a good way to get boosters excited.
