Witnesses at the bowling alley said the man, who has not been identified by police, was carrying a gun in his front pocket. When he stepped up to bowl, the ball hit his pocket on the backswing, causing the gun to fire.
"Everybody kind of stopped," said Debra Dean. "Everybody was looking, and all of a sudden you can tell something wasn't right."
The man limped off the lane area back to his seat while holding his leg. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
